heat oil or ghee in a pressure cooker. splutter 1 teaspoon cumin first in the hot oil. add 1 chopped onion and saute till they become translucent. now add 1 inch finely chopped ginger and 1 to 2 finely chopped green chilies. saute for some seconds or till the aroma of ginger goes away.
