Aloo Tamatar (a Preparation With Potatoes& Tomatoes)
A simple recipe for Indian breakfast, lunch or dinner
Potato - 3 cut and diced
Tomato - 2 cut and diced
Kali Sarson (Mustard Seeds - black) - 1/4 tablespoon
Turmeric - 1/4 tablespoon
Red chilli powder - 1/4 tablespoon
Green chillies - 2 nos
Curd - 100 gms
Oil - 1 tablespoon
Salt - 1/2 tablespoon
In a wok, heat oil. Add mustard seeds and let it splutter. Add green chillies. Let it splutter.
Add potatoes and mix well so that the oil gets coated properly. Add salt and mix again. Let it cook in low flame till tender. Stir in between so that potatoes don't stick and burn.
Add turmeric and chilli powder. Mix again.
Now add the diced tomatoes and stir. Let cook in low flame till the tomatoes become tender and mix well.
Add curd. Mix and serve hot with rice or rotis
May add water if required for lighter consistency
