Chingri Masala( Spicy Prawn)

Chingri Masala is a side dish recipe, wherein prawns are cooked in cashew and garam masala. Many people don’t like the fishy smell of prawns. In this recipe use of cashew paste along with garam masala weans away that smell. It is usually served with Naan or rumali roti.

Ingredients: 
Chingri maach ( prawn) 200 grams (7 ounce)
Onion paste ½ cup / 1 onion
Garlic paste 1 tablespoon
Ginger paste 1 tablespoon
Turmeric powder ½ tablespoon
Red chilli powder ½ tablespoon
Whole garam masala ½ inch cinnamon, 1 clove and 1 cardamom
Powdered garam masala ½ tablespoon
Cashew paste 4 tablespoon
Curd 2 tablespoon
refined oil 4 tablespoon
Salt 1 tablespoon
Sugar ½ tablespoon
Tomato sauce 1 tablespoon
Butter 1 atblespoon
Green chillies 2 pieces ( sliced)
Directions: 
In a pan or Karahi heat refined oil and fry the prawns for 2 mintues. Take it out and keep aside.
In the remaining oil, put whole garam masala. Once it starts popping up, add onion paste and ginger – garlic paste. Saute for 2-3 mintues.
Then add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, tomato sauce,salt and sugar and fry for a minute.
Add cashew paste ,curd and fried prawns. Cover the lid and cook for 10 mintues. Take it out and garnish with green chillies and butter.
