Dahi Tadka (curd With Tempering)

Curd or dahi, is a popular food item all over the country. In the north, people eat it with flattened rice or chapatis while in the south, people are great patrons of curd rice. As Dahi helps improve digestion and it is healthy for your heart, my mom always insists to have dahi daily. So here's a recipe that contains taste with health. Its a makeover of Dahi in a different way.

Dahi Tadka (curd with tempering)
Fresh beaten curd - 1 bowl
Green chillies (finely chopped)- 3 pcs
Coriander leaves (chopped)- 1 tbsp
Raai (mustard seeds)- 1 tsp
Jeera (cumin seeds)- 1 tsp
Hing (asafoetida)- 1 tsp
Urad dal (black gram)- 1 tsp
Chopped Pudina(mint leaves)- 1 tbsp
Powdered sugar- 1 tsp
Red chilli powder- 1 tsp
Salt as per need
Oil- 2 tsp
Few curry leaves
In 1 bowl of curd first mix salt,sugar,red chilli powder.
For the tempering-In a pan heat oil,add mustard seeds.When it splutters add cumin seeds.
Now add asafoetida and curry leaves. Add black gram and when it turns brown immediately remove from heat.
Add the tempering to the curd. Mix well
Add mint leaves. Mix well.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
Serve this curd cool for best taste.
