Instant Chickpeas Kababs (Safed Matar ke Kabab)
These kababs are the perfect party snacks. This is one of my favorite picky recipe which I love to make as it don’t require any mess. These Instant Chickpeas Kababs are very healthy, appetizing and nutritious.
White peas (Safed matar) – 1 cup
Onion – 1 (medium sized, chopped)
Garam masala powder– ½ teaspoon
Green chillies – 2-3 chopped
Ginger – 1 inch piece
Garlic – 6-7 cloves
Coriander leaves – chopped
Chat masala – ½ teaspoon
Salt to taste
Oil for shallow frying
Wash the safed matar and then soak it in water overnight for minimum of 6-8 hours.
Drain the excess water and grind it with green chillies, garlic, ginger, and onion.
Empty the grinded mixture in a bowl, add salt, coriander leaves, and garam masala powder and mix well.
Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into kabab.
Heat 2 tablespoon of oil in a pan for shallow frying the kabab.
When the oil is hot, add the kababs and shallow fry for 4-5 minutes (flipping at intervals).
Fry the kababs, till they turn light golden brown in color.
Drain it on the absorbent paper, sprinkle chaat masala and serve hot with green chutney.
No need to boil the matar.
