Leftover Bread Pakoda

Bread Pakoda is a very common Indian snack and a favourite among kids. But what do you do when you have some pieces of bread left in your refrigerator for days and you are in a fix of what to do with them….well here is one of the easiest way to consume them and let everybody in your family guess what it is?

Ingredients: 
Leftover bread – 4 pieces
Onion – ½ finely chopped
Green chilies – 2-3 finely chopped
Green coriander leaves – few finely chopped
Cumin seeds – 1/2teaspoon
Garam masala powder – ½ teaspoon ( optional)
Besan ( gram flour) 3-4 tablespoons
Ginger – ½ inch piece – crushed
Salt to taste
Oil – 3-4 tablespoons for frying.
Directions: 
Tear the bread into small pieces. Put it in a grinder with some water and grind it into a paste. You need to be careful while adding water. The batter should be like pakoda batter.
Take the batter in a mixing bowl. Add chopped onions, chilies, coriander leaves, ginger, cumin seeds, garam masala, besan and salt and mix well.
Heat oil in a pan on medium flame. Drop the batter in batches to make pakodas. Fry till all sides are golden brown.
Serve hot with your favourite chutney.
