Nariyal Ki Kheer

I have made nariyal kheer without rice. It has only coconut and dry fruits and NO GRAINS.

Ingredients: 
Tender Coconut (paani waala nariyal) – 1 (grated without its black skin)
Milk – 1 Ltr
Sugar – ¾ Cup or to taste
Green Cardamom Powder – ½ tsp
Dry Fruits – ¼ Cup (Almonds, Pistachios, Cashews - Chopped) and Raisins
Saffron Strands – Few (Optional – I have not added)
Directions: 
Crush and soak the saffron strands in 1 tsp warm milk.
In a thick bottom pan boil milk. Keep the flame medium and stir it continuously to avoid sticking at the base until milk gets reduced to its half ie. around 500-600 ml.
Now add grated coconut to milk and stir it firmly until it again starts boiling. Cook on low-medium heat for about 15-20 mins.
Add sugar, cardamom powder, saffron and dry fruits. Stir it well and cook it for 5-7 mins.
Garnish it with chopped dry fruits.
