Pyaaz Besan Ki Sabji (onion Gram Flour Curry )

What .... you don't have any green veggies in your fridge , don't worry about your dinner or lunch because today I am going to share you the recipe of onion gram flour curry which is quick to cook with no preparation time and tastes delicious . This goes very well with Indian flatbread (paratha) or can also be served as side dish .

Ingredients: 
1 Red Onion sliced
5 tbsp Besan or Gram flour
Oil to cook
2 Green chilies
Asafoetida a pinch
Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
Garam masala powder - 1 teaspoon
Kasuri methi a pinch
Turmeric powder a pinch
Salt as per taste
2 cups of water
Directions: 
Heat a pan on medium heat. Add pinch of asafoetida and cumin seeds.
Now add green chilies and sliced onions to it. Pan fry them until onions are brown in color.
Add gram flour to this and mix properly so that lumps are not present. Cook this for 10 mins until gram flour is brown in color and smells sweet.
Add all the spices, salt , turmeric, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder , red chili powder, kasuri methi . Mix them thoroughly for another 10 mins.
Add water little by little so that lumps are not formed and cook for another 10 mins until it bubbles and consistency is thick .
Switch off the flame and take out on serving bowl . Add some chopped scallions on to of it
Footnotes: 
1) break all the lumps formed after adding gram flour to onions 2) Donot add all water at a time , add in a interval and mix properly . This prevents lumps formation 3) don't make the curry too thin or runny so add water slowly and cook to reach thick consistency.
