Rice Flakes Pudding (poha Kheer )

Poha kheer, it’s a North Indian dessert. This Poha kheer very easy to make and made with minimal ingredients. You can serve this kheer hot or chilled. Adding cardamom powder gives a nice flavor to this kheer. This instant poha kheer is rich in carbohydrate as well as in fibre too. This kheer is just an energy weaning food for the upset tummy.

Ingredients: 
Milk – 1 1/2 cup
Poha - ¼ cup
Sugar – 5-6 tablespoon
Cardamom powder – ¼ teaspoon
Dry fruits (Almonds, pistachios, raisins) – ½ cup (Chopped)
Directions: 
Take a deep bottomed pan, add milk and give it a boil.
In the meantime, wash the poha under running water for few seconds and keep aside.
Now add the Cardamom powder and washed poha in the milk. Give a quick stir.
Reduce the heat and let the poha cook on a low flame. It will take around 10-15 minutes to cook poha.
Keep stirring after every 2-3 minutes while scrapping the sides of the pan.
After the poha is cooked well, add sugar and some dry fruits. Mix well and cook until sugar gets dissolve.
Turn off the gas and garnish with chopped dry fruits and serve hot.
