Bhoplyache Bharit (recipe Made With Pumpkin & Yogurt)

During many Indian festivals the women fast. This is one recipe which can be made during any festival while fasting

Red Pumkin : 1 to 2 cups of pumpkin chopped roughly
Clarified butter or ghee: 1 Tsp
Green Chili: 1 chopped
Coriander: for garnish
Cumin seeds: 1/2 tsp
Yogurt: 1/2 cup
Salt to taste
Sugar 1/4 tsp
Peel the pumpkin before chopping. After chopping roughly, pressure cook the pumpkin pcs in pressure cooker or steam in steamer
When pumpkin is cooked remove from cooker in to a bowl and mash using the back of a fork
Now Heat a small pan or kadhai. Add ghee, when hot, add cumin seeds (jeera), green chilies (we call this phodni)
Pour this mixture of phodni onto the mashed pumpkin
Now add salt to taste, sugar about 1/4 tsp and yogurt. Mix everything well
serve cold or at room temprature
