Aloo Barbati ( Long Beans)
Home-made food for Indian breakfast, lunch or dinner
Potatoes - 2 nos diced
Barbati (Long beans) - 250 gms - cut into 1 inch pieces
Tomatoes - 1 nos - cut in fours
Onion - 1 nos - sliced
Cumin powder - 1 tablespoon
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tablespoon
Red Chilli powder - 1/4 tablespoon
Salt - 1/2 tablespoon
Mustard Oil - 1 tablespoon
In a wok, heat the oil and put onions in it. Fry till the onions become transparent
Add salt, turmeric, cumin and red chilli powder and stir for a minute.
Now add the potatoes and beans and cook in medium flame till they become tender.
Now add tomatoes and cook for another few minutes and stir to mix the tomatoes properly.
Aloo barbatis sabji is ready to eat
May add / reduce salt or chilli powder according to taste
