Aloo Gobhi Matar ( Cauliflower Cooked With Potatoes And Peas)
Aloo gobhi is a the most common Indian side dish. Every Indian girl is believed to know 'How to cook Aloo Gobhi'. So here is the simplest way to cook yummy Aloo Gobhi with Matar. You may also use Paneer instead of matar.
Aloo ( potatoes) - 2 pieces
Gobhi ( cauliflower) - 1
Matar ( Green pea) - 1/4 cup
Tomato - 1 piece
Onion - 1 piece
Ginger - garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tablespoon
Red chilli powder - 1 tablespoon
Cumin powder - 1/2 tablespoon
Coriander powder - 1 tablespoon
Salt - 1 tablespoon
Mustard oil - 7 tablespoon
Cut potatoes in medium size and keep aside. Pick the florets of gobhi and keep aside.
Heat oil in a karahi and put the gobhi. Fry the gobhi till it turns light brown. Take out and keep aside.
Now put the potatoes and fry till they turn light brown. Remove and keep aside.
In the remaining oil put onion. Fry the onion till they become light brown. Now add tomatoes and ginger garlic paste. Saute for few seconds. Add cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and red chili powder. Mix well and fry till the masala leaves oil.
Add gobhi and potatoes, add salt and 1 1/2 cup of water. Mix and cook on low heat till the vegetables turn tender.
Serve with Rice or Chappati.
Add 1/2 tablespoon of garam masala to enhance flavor
