Bakalabath

Bakalabath or Semiya Bakalabath is typical south Indian delicacy which is a good replacement for Curd Rice. In many families in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra the lunch or dinner is not complete unless you eat at least one spoon of curd rice. This Bakalabath is also made of curd and it is good replacement.

Bakalabath
Ingredients: 
• Vermicelli – 1 cup
• Fresh curd – 2cups
• Water – 2 cups
• Vegetable oil – 2 teaspoon
• Green Chilli – 2
• Mustard – ½ teaspoon
• Jeera – ½ teaspoon
• Urad dhall – 1teaspoon
• Curry leaves
• Coriander leaves
• Salt
Directions: 
• Boil water and add Vermicelli. Boil till vermicelli is soft. Switch off the flame.
• Add salt and curd to cooked vermicelli
• Heat oil in kadai, add mustard, jeera, urad dhall, chopped green chilli, curry leaves and complete the seasoning.
• Now add seasoned items to cooked vermicelli and mix well.
• Garnish with chopped Coriander leaves.
• Store the Bakalabath in fridge for 2 hrs and serve it cool.
