Betel Leaf And Rose Flavoured Ladoo)


This recipe is a dessert but can be relished as a mouth freshner as well. It contains Paan Ka Patta (Betel Leaves) and Gulkand (Rose Petals Jelly). Very unique flavours and delectable treat. These Laddoo are loaded with goodness of Milk protein (khoya) and calcium found in Betel Leaves and Coconut.

Khoya - 2 cup
Fresh Betel Leaves- 5
Gulkand - 3 tbsp
Powdered Sugar- 1 cup or as per taste
Desiccated Coconut- 1/2 cup
Heat a pan add khoya and cook on medium flame till it start changing its colour.
Coarsely grind Betel Leaves. Add with khoya and cook for about 7 minutes. Turn off the flame.
Add sugar and mix.
When mixture comes to room temperature make small balls out if it and stuff Gulkand in each Laddoo and coat it with dessicated coconut.
Add sugar after turning the gas stove off.
Do not grind Betel Leaves into a fine paste but coarsely grind.
