This is a very simple spicy and tasty dish . I have learnt it from my mother, what an excellent cook she is. It tastes like heavens, if cooked properly. Spice can be medium or hot.

mutton 1 kg , cut in medium size
mustard oil 4 tablespoon
3-4 bay leaves
red Chilli whole 4 nos
Onion 6 medium size finely chopped
Coriander powder 4 teaspoon
Chilli powder 2 teaspoon
Jeera powder 2 teaspoon
kaali mirch powder 1 teaspoon
Garlic paste 3 teaspoon
Ginger paste 2 teaspoon
Garam masala 1/2 teaspoon
salt to taste
haldi powder 2 teaspoon
green coriander leaves 10-15
Take a non stick kadhai, add oil , let it heat, after 2 minutes add bay leaves and red chilly, when it splutters add sliced onion, once the onion becomes transluscent add garlic & ginger paste, once the aroma of the garlic ginger starts coming after two minutes. add the chopped & washed mutton. Mix the the mutton properly with onion, after couple of minutes add salt , haldi, coriander, jeera, lal mirch, kaali mirch, and mix it well on low flame. When the mutton separates the oil put it on high flame, in between keep stirring, so that it does not burn at the bottom. Keep 2 cups Hot water ready . Let it cook on Hot flame for 5 minutes. Now Add hot water and put it on low flame for 10 minutes. Add Garam masala , close the lid and cook for 2 minutes . Serve it with garnished hara dhania patta.
Serve it with hot chappati / paratha / Naan / Puri / Pulav
Can also have it with Tandoori Roti
