Bombil Hirva Masala
Bombil (Bombay Duck) is fish you get in every season. Its a very soft fish & lovely to taste.
6 medium size Bombil
2 medium Onions Chopped
1/2 cup freshly grated Coconut
1 cup Coriander leaves
1/2 inch Ginger
5-6 Garlic cloves
5-6 green Chillies
2 tsp Coriander powder
4-5 tablespoon Oil
2 tsp Lemon Juice
Salt to taste
Clean the Bombil & marinate with salt & 2 tablespoons of lemon juice.
In a pan heat 1 tbsp of oil and add chopped onions and cook it till it turns pink.
Meanwhile grind coconut, chilies, coriander leaves, ginger, garlic, coriander powder with 1/2 cup of water. Keep the consistency of a fine paste.
Add the mixture in to the pan, add 1 cup of water & make a thick gravy. Mix well & let it boil for 3 mnts. Now wash the marinated Bombil with fresh water and add in to the gravy. Let it cook of 2 mintues.
Serve Hot with Chapati, Bhakri or Rice.
