Cabbage- Carrot Thoran (cabbage And Carrot Cooked With Coconut In Keralastyle)

This is a variety dish served along with Kerala style rice. This is simple to prepare, colorful in looks and good in taste. This is my hubby's all time favourite dish.

Ingredients: 
Cabbage- 200 gm
Carrot (Small)- 2
Green chillies- 6
Grated coconut- 1/2 cup
Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds- 1/4 tsp
Garlic cloves- 3
Coconut oil - 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds- 1/4 tsp
Dried red chillies- 2
Curry leaves- 10
Salt- as needed
Directions: 
Chop the cabbage, carrot and green chillies into small pieces
Grind together the grated coconut, garlic cloves, cumin seeds, turmeric powder and 2 green chillies in a mixer
Heat a hard bottom pan and pour 2 tbsp of coconut oil into it.
When the oil gets heated, put mustard seeds. When the mustard seeds splutter, add dried red chillies and curry leaves.
Add chopped cabbage, carrot and green chillies, coconut mixture and salt into it and mix the ingredients.
Sprinkle some water and cover the pan with a lid. Sprinkle water in between until the cabbage and carrot gets cooked well.
When done, remove the pan from fire and serve with kerala rice.
