Cabbage Vada (kerala Style Cabbage Pakoda)

This is a spicy tea-time snack. Cabbage pakoda can be made easily like any other pakodas and is tasty. This is my favourite tea-time snack.

Ingredients: 
Cabbage (Chopped into long strips)- 1 cup
Onion -2 (chopped into small pieces)
Gram flour- 1 1/2 cup
Red chilli powder- 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida powder-1/4 tsp
Salt- as needed
Water- 1/4 cup
Green chillies- 2(Chopped into small pieces)
Ginger-garlic paste- 1 tbsp
Coconut oil- 1/2 cup
Directions: 
Mix together chopped cabbage, onion, gram flour, green chillies, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, asafoetida powder, salt, water, ginger-garlic paste and water using hand.
Heat coconut oil in a heavy bottomed pan
When the oil gets heated well, take a handful of dough and drop into the oil as small balls
When one side turns golden brown in colour, flip the bonda to the other side and fry well
When both sides are fried well, remove it from oil and spread to a paper towel
Serve hot with tomato sauce

You can add other vegetables such as carrot, beans etc. along with cabbage to make this pakoda more colourful and tasty
