1 cup wheat flour
Besan (Gram Flour - 1 spoon)
Chickpea Flour (Tuvar Dal)
Groundnuts, Curry Leaves
Mustard Seeds, Turmeric, Dry Red Chillies, Hing, Cumin Seeds, Ajwain, Red Chilly Powder, Oil
Coriander Leaves
Salt, Sugar or Jaggery
Boil (Chickpea dal) Tuvar Dal with Salt, Blend it in a puree form On the side kneed the dough, mix wheat flour with besan(gram flour), salt, 1/2 teaspoon ajwain, 1/2 teaspoon red chilly powder, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, 1 spoon oild and mix it well with water. Equivalent to a chapati or paratha atta. Let it settle for 10 mins
Once dal is cooked, in a pan, take 2 tablespoon oil, add cumin seeds, hinga, hinga, dry red chillies, curry leaves, turmeric, chilly powder, add dal, put sugar or jaggery, salt and bring it to boil
Make a roti/ pancake of the dough, thinner in size and cut diamonds. Add these diamonds to the dal on medium flame and then increase the flame, stir at regular intervals let the diamonds cook for 8-10 mins remove from the flame and serve hot with coriander leaves
