The unique name actually came from the way this roti or chappati is made. Dosti means bonding or togetherness. In Dosti roti two rotis are rolled out together and then roasted together, hence the name dosti roti.
Atta (Wheatflour)– 1 cup
Refined oil / ghee – 2 tablespoon
Take atta in a bowl . Pour required water and make the dough. Make four portions and roll them into small balls. Then flatten each ball a little bit over the rolling pin. Now apply oil or ghee on one side of each flattened balls and then stick two flattened balls together by the oily surface. Dust some flour and roll out the chappati.
Heat a tawa and roast the chappati just like your normal chappati on both sides. Once done you will find that the two layers of chappati will separate. Separate the two and fold it. Serve hot with any curry recipe.
