Gajar Ka Halwa (carrot Halwa)
The gajar ka halwa was first introduced during the Mughal period. This pudding is made occasionally on the festivals and liked by children.

Ingredients:
2 cups thickly Grated Carrots
1 tbsp Ghee
2 tbsp Milk
4 tbsp Sugar
1 tbsp chopped Badam(Almonds)
1/2 tsp Elaichi (Cardamom)powder
Directions:
Heat the ghee in a kadai add the grated carrots and stir on a medium flame for 4 to 5 minutes.
Add the milk and sugar and stir well continuously for 10 minutes, then add crushed almonds and cardamom and allow to cook under low flame for 5 more minutes.
The carrot halwa is ready. Serve it hot.
