Gobhi Peas Masala

A simple recipe which needs only peas and cauliflower. This restaurant style Gobhi peas masala can be made dry and with curry. I prefer it semi dry, so it goes well with rotis and rice.

Ingredients: 
Cauliflower: 1 Medium sized
Peas 1 cup
2 Tomatoes
2 Onions
Garam masala 1tsp
Salt to tast
Sugar 1/2 tsp
Dhana Jeera powder 1 tsp
Turmeric 1/2 tsp
Kashmiri red chili powder 3/4 tsp
Oil 3 tbsp
Jeera 1/2 tsp
Ginger garlic paste 1tsp
Coriander leaves chopped 3 Tbsp
Directions: 
Thinly slice onions and finelt chop tomatoes. Wash and separate cauliflower florets.
In a kadhai, heat oil ass jeera and allow to splutter. Add the onions, turmeric and red chili power and stir. Add pinch of salt
Add tomatoes, ginger garlic paste and mix
Cook for 1 min then add dhana jeera powder and peas
Give it a good mix. Cover and cook for 5 mins on medium heat till all ingredients come together to form a masala
Now add in sugar, more salt to taste and cauliflower florets and half of the chopped coriander leaves
Give it a good mix. Do not add water.
Cover and cook on low heat for 20 mins. Stir every 5 mins
When the cauliflower is well cooked, add garam masala and cook uncovered for 2 mins on high heat for excess water to evaporate
Garnish with remaining chopped coriander leaves
Serve hot with rotis or rice

You can add water if you need a curry.
