Hesarubeli Palya (green Gram Subzi)

Green gram is a part of our traditional Indian recipe, Very healthy diet. it fights against hunger and Control Weight a cup of green gram has approximately 12-15 grams of fiber it also helps in detoxifying the body, regulates blood sugar, reduce Cholesterol. It is also an excellent source of vegetarian protein & iron. It could be mixed with many other vegetables to make a delicious curry, here is a traditional and healthy green gram subzi which is easy to prepare and could be served with rice, dosa, chapathi etc.

Ingredients: 
Green gram sprouts 1 cup
Potatoes (peeled and chopped to medium size pieces) 2
Tomatoes 2
Onion 1
Green chillies 2
Garlic pods 5
Ginger 1
Chopped coriander leaves 2 tsp
1 tea spoon red chilli powder
½ tea spoon haldi
1 tea spoon shahi jeera
Salt to taste
2 table spoons of oil
Directions: 
Grind onion, green chilies, garlic, ginger, tomatoes and coriander leaves together in a mixi to fine paste and keep it aside.
Take pan and heat oil add jeera to it, when jeera starts spluttering add the paste which you have prepared.Cook in a medium flame until the oil starts separating
Now add red chilli powder, salt and haldi. Cook for few min
Add the potatoes and the green gram sprouts to it. Add a cup of water and close the lid.Cook it for 10-15 mins till it gets mixed up well and water drains.
Now the healthy subzi is ready to serve

just like potato you can add many more vegetables of your choice which will enhance the taste.
