Kadala Paruppu Halwa
its good for all ages.. we can use moong dal also
Kadalai paruppu ( bengal gram dal ) - 1 cup Coconut ( grated ) - 1 cup Jaggery ( powdered ) - 1 cup Cashew - 10 Raisins - 10 Cardamom powder - a pinch Ghee - as needed
1. Cook kadalai paruppu with water , strain and set aside. 2. Heat a little ghee in a small frying pan. 3. Add cashew, raisins, fry and set aside. 4. Heat ghee in a pan. 5. Add kadalai paruppu, jaggery and stir. 6. Add coconut and stir on a low flame. 7.When contents leave the sides of the pan, add cashew, raisins, cardamom powder, stir well and switch off the stove.
you can use moong dhall also
