Kashmiri Aloo Dum ( Spicy Potato Curry Without Onion And Garlic)

Kashmiri Dum Aloo is a vegetarian side dish recipe wherein potatoes are cooked with rich aroma of capsicum and cumin powder. This is my version of the Kashmiri Dum Aloo

Aloo (small size potato) – 250 grams
Capsicum – 1 pieces (sliced)
Ginger paste – 1 tablespoon
Posto (poppy seed paste) - 1 tablespoon
Red chilli powder – 1 tablespoon
Cashew paste – 1tablespoon
Turmeric powder – ½ tablespoon
Cumin powder – 1 tablespoon
Garam masala – 1 tablespoon
Green coriander leaves - 1/2 cup (chopped)
Oil - 5 tablespoon
Salt - 1 tablespoon
Boil the potatoes, peel and keep aside.
Heat oil in karahi or deep pan and fry the potatoes till they turn golden brown. Remove and keep aside on kitchen towel
In the remaining oil put ginger paste, cumin powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder and sauté for a minute.
Add cashew paste, capsicum, potatoes, garam masala and salt and cook on low heat for 5 minutes. Garnish with green coriander and serve hot.
