Kathal Ki Sabzi(jackfruit Dish)

kathal ( jackfruit) - 500 grams
Potato - 2 pieces
Onion - 200 grams
Bay leaves - 2 pieces
Ginger- garlic paste -2 tablespoon
Cumin powder - 1 tablespoon
Coriander powder - 1 tablespoon
Red chilli powder - 1 tablespoon
Garam Masala powder - 1/2 tablespoon
Salt - 1/2 tablespoon
Mustard oil - 7=8 tablespoon
Cut kathal and potato in small pieces and slice the onion.
Boil the kathal for 5 minutes in water and keep it aside.
Heat oil in a karahi and then add the boiled kathal. Fry the kathal till it turns golden brown. Remove the kathal and keep aside.
In the remaining oil put bay leaf and potato and fry for 2-3 minutes.
Add sliced onion and fry till the onion becomes translucent.
Now add ginger garlic paste, cumin powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder and fry on medium heat till the masala Leaves the oil.
Then pour the entire thing in a pressure cooker, add fried kathal, salt, garam masala and 1 cup of water and pressure cook up to 2-3 whistles.
Serve with chapatti or puri.
You can add few drops of biryani essence if you are serving it to your guests.
