Khajur Aur Imli Ki Chutney (date And Tamarind Chutney)
Khajur aur imli ki chutney with papad is must in Indian marriage ceremonies. The food arrangements are considered incomplete with papad and khajur aur imli ki chutney.
Khajur (Date) 10 grams
Imli (tamarind pulp) ½ cup
Kishmis (raisins) 10 grams
Kaju (cashew) 10 grams
Salt ¼ tablespoon
Red chilli powder ¼ tablespoon
Sugar 1 cup
Put a karahi over gas stove and put the sugar and a cup of water. Prepare a ‘ chashni’ (the sugar will dissolve and it will turn into a liquid sugar syrup)
Add the khajur, raisins, imli, kaju, salt and red chilli powder and let it cook on low flame for 10 mintues.
Stir continuously till the chutney gets its consistency. Serve with Papad or any pakora. This chutney can be refrigerated for a month.
