Lal Aloo Cutlet (red Cutlets Made With Potatoes And Beetroot)

My Mum used to make this cutlet for us in the evenings. Me and my sis hated beetroot, but never did we know that this was a beetroot cutlet as she smartly added some amazing flavors to make this cutlet super tasty. Here's her special recipe

Devina Verma's Secret Indian Recipe !

Beetroot: 1 boiled till tender
Sweet potato: 1 boiled till tender
Potatoes: 4 boiled
Garam Masala: 1/2 tsp
Garlic paste: 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Breadcrumbs : 1/2 cup or as required
Green Peas: 1/2 cup
Oil for cooking
Boil the green peas along with the potatoes.
In a bowl take Sweet potato, peas potatoes and beetroot.. Mash using a fork or masher
Add garam masala, garlic paste, salt and mix well
Try to make balls, if its too wet add breadcrumbs till the mixture reaches a consistency to form nice round patties. Adjust salt after adding bread crumbs. Make patties and keep aside
Heat a pan and drizzle 2 tbsp oil. Place the patties one by one and cook for 4- 5 mins on low heat on either sides
Cook till the turn nice golden or brown from either side
Serve hot with chutney or sauce during tea time
I have also added roasted peanuts to my recipe, but thats optional
