Parathas go with each and every dish and are made mostly on special occasion in every home.
Maida (self raising flour) - 2 1/2 cups
Ghee (Clarified butter) - 4 table spoons
Water - 1 cup
In a wide bowl, put maida and add the ghee to it. Mix the 2 tablespoons ghee properly into the whole flour.
Add water in small quantities and knead the flour to make a soft dough ball.
Divide the ball into smaller balls.
Now flatten the balls on a flat surface with the roller.
Heat a frying pan and brush ghee on it. Now cook the flattened dough till golden brown on each side.
Serve hot with any curry or vegetable
You may use more water if the dough becomes too hard to knead.
You may add more ghee while frying the paratha.
