Rice - 1 cup
Skinned and split pigeon peas - 1 cup
Green peas - 1 cup
Salt - to taste
Turmeric Powder-1/2 tablespoon
Chopped coriander leaves - 1 1/2 tablespoon
Green chili (chopped) - 1/2 tablespoon
Cumin seeds - 1 tablespoon
Chopped garlic - 1 tablespoon
Asfoetida/ hing - 1/3 tablespoon
Oil or ghee - 2 tablespoon
Water - as required
Take rice and pigeon peas in a bowl and wash it with water for at least 3 times. Wash the green peas and soak it in the water.
Now take pressure cooker and pour the rice and pigeon peas in it , pour 1 lit water in it, add salt about 1 tea spoon or to taste and turmeric powder.
cover the lid and put it on flame , wait for 1 whistle , then close the flame. wait till the hot air comes out of the cooker.
Take a pan and heat oil in it, add hing , cumin seeds wait till it gets fry , then add garlic, soaked green peas and chili to it , and saute it till it gets little fry. close the flame.
open the lid of the cooker, add the green peas in the cooker and mix it evenly, and garnish with coriander leaves. your dish is ready to be served.
