Mutton Aur Palak (mutton In Spinach Gravy)

It is a non vegetarian side dish recipe wherin Mutton is cooked along with spinach. Spinach as we know is good source of calcium and iron and  is mixed with mutton which not only gives it a different taste but it is also suitable for those who like to eat mutton but don’t like the smell of it. A highly recommended recipe for those who like hassle free mutton curry cooking

Mutton pieces 200 grams (7 ounce)
Palak (spinach) 200 grams (7 ounce)
Tejpatta (bay leaf) 1 piece
Onion 2 pieces (Finely chopped)
Cumin powder 1 and 1/2 tablespoon
Ginger paste 1 tablespoon
Garlic paste 1 tablespoon
Black pepper powder ½ tablespoon
Red chilli powder ½ tablespoon
Mustard oil 7 tablespoon
Salt 1 tablespoon
Garam Masala powder - 1/2 tablespoon
Wash and chop the spinach and keep it aside.
In a Pressure cooker put oil and add bay leaf. Once it starts popping add onion and fry onion for 5 mintues.
Add the mutton and Sauté for 5 mintues.
Add the onion paste, ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin powder, black pepper powder, red chilli powder and salt and put the lid on. Cook up to 2 whistles.
Let it cool and remove the lid to check if the mutton is half done . Add the chopped spinach and Garam Masala and cook for up to 2 more whistle. Serve hot with rice.
