Mutton / Chicken Drumstick
Drumstick is a snack recipe suitable for an evening get together. It can be made either with chicken or mutton. The method remains the same but cooking mutton takes little more time than chicken.
Mutton / chicken pieces (preferably the leg piece or a piece with a bone) 4-6 pieces
Onion (chopped) ½ cup
Ginger (chopped) 1 tablespoon
Garlic(chopped) ½ tablespoon
Gotta garam masala ½ tablespoon
Boiled potatoes 4 pieces
Green coriander leaves 2 tablespoon
Garam masala powder 1 tablespoon
Green chillies 2 pieces (chopped)
Refined oil 100 mililitre
Salt 1 tablespoon
Breadcrums ½ cup
Take a pressure cooker, put the cleaned chicken or mutton pieces, chopped onion, ½ tablespoon of chopped ginger, chopped garlic, gotta garam masala and ½ tablespoon of salt mix well and add 1 cup of water. Pressure cook for 2 whistles. Let it cool.
In a bowl mash the boiled potatoes. Add green coriander, chopped ginger and green chillies, garam masala and salt and mix well. Make six balls out of this mixture.
Afterwards take the boiled chicken or mutton pieces cover it with potato mix and roll it over the breadcrumbs.
Heat oil in a karahi and fry them on medium heat till they turn light brown. Serve hot with mint chutney or kasundi
The leftover water inwhich ckicken was boiled can be trurned into awesome soup by putting 1 tablespoonof butter and 1/2 tablespoon of black pepper powder.
