Pachakka Thoran (plantain With Coconut)

Pachakka or plantain is a vegetable that is rich in many nutrients. This is a simple traditional Kerela recipe with plantain.

Pachakka thoran (Plantain thoran)
Ingredients: 
Plantain or pachakka -2 no (Cut in small pieces)
Green chilli -4nos
Turmeric powder -2 pinch
Cumin-1 pinch
Grated coconut-1/2 cup
Oil-2 tablespoon
Mustard seeds-1 teaspoon
Salt –as you need
Curry leaves-2 sprig
Red chilli -2 nos.
Directions: 
Put a pan on the stove and add oil.
Add mustard seeds, curry leaves and red chilli to the hot oil.
When it gets sorted, add the plantains, green chilli and salt.
Close it and cook it for 5 min.
Grind the grated coconut, cumin seeds and turmeric powder.
Then add this mixture to the cooked plantain, mix well.
Cook it covered for two minutes so that raw taste of turmeric will be gone.
Check if the plantain is done. Serve with rice.
