500 gms Paneer
2 medium onions
5 - 6 medium tomatoes
2 bay leaves or tej pata
1 inch Cinnamon or dalchini
2 spoons ginger garlic paste
6 spoons of butter
fresh cream
kasuri methi
2 spoons oil
2 spoons Coriander powder and one spoon red chilli powder
2 - 3 dry red chillies
In a pan, heat 4 spoons of butter. Saute bay leaves, dalchini. Add broken pieces of the dry red chillies. Add finely chopped onions. Saute. Add Ginger Garlic paste. Add 1 spoon coriander powder and half a spoon red chilli powder. Add finely chopped tomatoes. Let it leave the oil at its edges.
Once the mixture in the pan has cooled, put the same in the mixer to make a puree. In a pan, add the rest of the butter. Add the puree with remaining coriander powder and red chilli powder. Add the pieces of paneer, add water as per the desired thickness of the gravy. Salt to taste and kasuri methi. Put a lid and let it cook for few minutes till the paneer absorbs the masala. if you want slight sweetness, you can add little honey. Once cooked, take it off the gas, add fresh cream. keep the lid for few mins and swerve it hot.
