Payaru Soup (moong / Green Gram Soup)

An extremely healthy and easy to make soup. With 50 grams of payaru, we can make about 12 cups of soup.

Payaru (Moong dal) – 50 grams
Milk – 1/2 cup
Cheese or butter - 1 tablespoon
Cloves – 5
Cinnamon – a small piece
Black Pepper – To taste
Red Chili Powder – To taste
Salt - to taste
Onion – 1 small one(chopped)
Tomato – 1 small one (Chopped)
Coriander leaves – few chopped
.Soak moong for about one hour and boil in cooker for 1 whistle.
Then grind and make it a soft paste.
Now add milk with cheese or butter, 5 cloves, small piece of Cinnamon and let it boil. Keep stirring.
Then add salt, black pepper, red chilli powder to taste and pieces of onions, tomatoes and coriander. Cook for a mintue and switch of the gas.
Serve it with pappad or toasted bread.
