Pyaz Pakora/ Kanda Bhaji ( Onion Fritters)

I lived in Mumbai for about a month last year, I enjoyed the street food thoroughly. One of my favorite snacks used to be Kanda Bhaji, all over India it's called Pyaz ke pakode but in Mumbai. It's Kanda Bhaji. This is a great tea time snack

3 Onions thinly sliced
1 cup besan
2 Garlic cloves peeled and mined
2 Green chilies finely chopped
2 Tbsp chopped coriander
1 tsp ajwain seeds
1 tsp Kala Jeera
Oil for frying
1/4 Turmeric
1/2 tsp red chili powder
Salt to taste
In bowl take besan, add onions, ajwain, kala jeera, chilies, garlic, turmeric, coriander and salt.
Add water little at a time while mixing the ingredients with your fingers. Keep adding water till all the ingredients come together and start sticking. You may adjust salt by tasting a bit of the batter
In a deep pot or kadhai heat oil for deep frying. When oil is hot, take small portions of the batter with a fork and put it into the oil
Cook for about 2 minutes till the pakoda turns golden brown.
Serve hot with tea/coffee
