Salty And Spicy Tomato Chutney
Spicy tomato chutney goes very well with rice or any kind of parathas. It can also be used for making chat and serve with any pakoras.
Medium sized tomatoes (chopped in 4 pieces) 200 grams (7 ounce)
Ginger 10 grams (0.5 ounce)
Garlic 10 grams (0.5 ounce)
Red chilli powder 10 grams (0.5 ounce)
Yellow mustard 10 grams (0.5 ounce)
vinegar 4 tablespoon
Mustard oil 10 grams (0.5 ounce)
Fenugreek seeds ½ tablespoon
curry patta ½ tablespoon
Salt 1 tablespoon
Make a fine paste of ginger, garlic and mustard in one cup vinegar. Set aside
In a pan or karahi heat mustard oil and put fenugreek seeds and curry patta. Once it stars popping add the ginger- garlic and mustard paste and sauté till it leaves the oil.
Afterwards put the tomatoes along with salt and chilly powder.
Cover the pan and let simmer on low gas till tomatoes turn tender. Cool and refrigerate and use along with your main course or snacks. It can be stored for 8 -10days.
