Protein rich kale chane is soaked, boiled nd ground to a paste along with traditional indian ingredients to make attractive veg kebabs which are healthy and tasty that kids surely love to have in their tiffin or as an evening snack!
6 ice cream sticks
1/2 cup kale chane - soaked and boiled with just enough water
2 potatoes - boiled and mashed
1 tbsp - hung curd
2tbsp - chopped mint
1 tsp - deseeded and finely chopped green chilli (optional) or 1/2 tsp black pepper pwd
2 slices of brown bread - grind to fresh bread crumbs
1 tbsp - tomato ketchup
1tsp salt, 1 tsp chana masala, 1/2 tsp amchoor pwd,1/4tsp red chillie pwd
Cornflour - to coat
Pressure cook kale chane with 1 1/4 cup of water to allow 1 whistle. Keep on low flame 20min . After the pressure drops if there is any water left , cook on fire till almost dry. Remove from fire and cool. Grind the chanas to a paste.
Mix boiled mashed potatoe , hung curd, bread crumbs, ketchup , salt, chana masala, amchoor pwd, red chilli pwd, pepper or chopped green chillie, to the chana paste.
Make balls and insert ice cream stick in each. Flatten the balls on the stick and roll in dry cornflour.
Shallow fry in a pan, till golden along with the stick in hot oil!
You can make chana paste one day prior also!
