Very Easy

White Bread - 4 slices
Potato (boiled and mashed) – 5
Green chilli (finely chopped) – 1
Ginger – ½ inch
Coriander leaves – chopped
Chilli powder – a pinch
Salt – to taste
Onion (medium) – 1
White Sesame seeds – 2 tbspn
Corn flour – 4 tbsp
Herbs (oregano, parsley, Italian seasoning mix) – ¼ tsp (optional)
Oil for frying
1. Take a piece of bread and divide it in 3 parts, so that it looks like a long stick. Do the same with all bread slices and keep it aside. 2. Mix potato, green chilli, ginger, coriander leaves, chilli powder, onion and salt. Our potato mixture is ready. 3. In a bowl – mix corn flour, dried herbs, salt (little bit as potato mash already has salt). Add little water to the mixture, to make it a paste (neither too thick nor too thin). The consistency should be right to cover the bread sticks. 4. Apply the potato mixture on one side of all the bread sticks, and keep it aside. 5. Heat oil in a deep pan. Once it is hot, dip one breadstick (from all sides) in the stirred corn flour mixture, cover it with sesame seeds on the top of potato layer, and put it in the oil for deep frying. 6. Repeat the above step for all the remaining bread sticks. 7. Note - Put only 3-4 sticks at a time in the oil for frying on medium flame, so that they cook well. 8. Once they are golden brown, place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Enjoy crispy breadsticks with a hint of sesame in every bite, accompanied with ketchup or/and green chutney.
