dried black chickpeas/kala chana -1 cup
bottle gourd - 250 gm (diced cut)
onion finely chopped -1 medium sized
chopped coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
coriander powder - 1/4 tbsp
coriander powder - 1/4 tbsp
green chili finely chopped - 2-4 pieces
ginger-garlic paste - 1/2 tbsp
garam masala - 1/6 tbsp
gram flour - 2 tbsp
red chili powder - 1 tsp
salt to taste
oil for frying the kababs
Soak the black chickpeas in water overnight of for 6-7 hours. Then drain the water
Pressure cook the chickpeas and bottle gourd with enough water and salt and cook till they are thoroughly cooked.
Let the heat pressure come down of the cooker. Take a large bowl add the chickpeas and mash them with a wooden spoon or a blender. Just make a mixture and not too smooth.
Add all the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Then take a pan pour a 1 tsp oil init then add the kabab mixture and cook it till it be come a little dry .
Now make small round shaped kababs or patties. Take a flat pan spread oil on it and shallow fry the kababs till they gets crisp.
Take them off on a serving plate, serve then with sliced onion.
Do not deep fry , they may break.
