Shakarkand Ki Kheer
A dish which can be enjoyed during fasting time and will be loved by the children
1 sweet Potato
2 tablespoons Sugar
100ml condensed milk
250ml whole milk
Nuts as per taste
Cardamom powder - two pinch
Boil the sweet potato. Peel it and mash it completely. .
Add milk and stir it slowly so that no lumps should remain. Add condensed milk and sugar and mix properly.
Now put the vessel on the gas at high flame. Stir the mixture continuously. When it comes to boil simmer down the flame and stir it for another 10 to 15 minutes or till the mixture reaches a consistency of a kheer.
Switch off the gas and now add nuts and cardamom powder. Our kheer is ready. Serve it chilled.
Note: you can add saffron for more richness.
One can adjust the sugar according to their taste and requirement as condensed milk is already sweet.
