Sindhi Sai Bhaji

Sai Bhaji is a traditional sindhi side dish. It is prepared with spinach, chana dal and green vegetables. it has goodness of spinach and vegetables. we often make sai bhaji for lunch. Its a kind of one pot meal....easy to cook, wholesome and tasty.

Ingredients: 
Palak ( Spinach)-1cup
Chana dal (Bengal gram)-1/2cup
Onion-1big chopped
Tomato-1big chopped
Ginger-1inch
Garlic-3to4clove
Green chilli-2to3
Salt-to taste
Haldi ( Turmeric Powder)-1tsp
Red chilli-2tsp
Oil-2Tbsp
Jeera ( Cumin)-1tsp
Hing ( Asafoetida) -1tsp
Rice to serve with bhaji
Potato-1
Carrot-1
Brinjal-1
Directions: 
Wash and soak chana dal for 1hour.
Wash and chopped palak.
In a heavy bottom cooker heat oil and tadka with jeera and hing.
Then add onion, green chilli, ginger and saute till became golden brown.
Now add chopped tomato and let it cook and ooze out water.
Now add dal, palak and vegetables all together.
And add salt, haldi, and chili powder and 1 cups of water.
Give 3-4whistles .
Now open the lid and mash everything with blender and adjust the consistency by adding water.
Simmer for 2 mintues and then switch off the gas.
Footnotes: 
We dont like chunky bhaji so we blend it.
But if you like it chunky then no need to blend.
You can also add methi and suvaa bhaji to dal.
Serve with steam rice.
