Singhara Ke Atta Ka Halwa (water Chestnut Flour Cake)
Singhara ke atta ka halwa is a dessert recipe made during Vrat (fasting). Singhara ka atta is also known as Paaniphal ka atta or kuttu ka atta.
Singhara ka atta 250 grams
Ghee 4 tablespoon
Sugar 50 grams
Nuts ½ cup
Lukewarm water 1 cup
Heat ghee in a karahi and the pour the Singhara ka atta. Fry the atta on low flame for 10 mintues till it turns light brown.
Then add sugar and nuts and sauté for 2-3 mintues.
Add the water and mix well. Make sure that limps do not form. Stir continuously till the required consistency is achieved.
Pour around 1 tablespoon of ghee on top of it and mix. Serve hot.
