Sorisa Bata Machha Tarkari (mustard Fish Curry)

In Odisha there is a saying that 'Fish tastes good when flavoured in mustard gravy'. Mustard is rich source of health benefiting minerals. I got this recipe from my mom. Its quite tasty and easy to prepare.

Ingredients: 
Fish 1/2kg
Potatoes 2pieces
Tomato 1(chopped)
Black Mustard Seeds 6-7 teaspoon
Garlic 4-6 pieces
Green chillies 4
Turmeric Powder 1teaspoon
Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Ricebran oil
Water 2 Cups
Directions: 
Marinate the fish with salt and 1/2 teaspoon turmeric for about 5 minutes.
Peel and cut the potato into long slices
Take 5-6 teaspoon mustard seeds, 5-6 garlic flakes, 4 green chilies , add little water and grind all together into a smooth paste.
Heat oil, add marinated fish, fry them on both sides till reddish, remove and keep aside.
Heat remaining oil, add potatoes and fry till light golden, remove it and keep aside.
Heat oil, add 2 pinch mustard seeds let it splutter .
Add mustard paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, little water and stir it .
Add chopped tomatoes, fry till oil separates out. Then add fried potatoes, salt and stir it.
Add 2 cups of water, let it boil and then put the gas on medium flame till the potatoes are done.
Now add fried fishes and cook for 5 minutes till gravy becomes little thick.
Now its ready to be served with rice.
