Stuffed Bread Pakora (stuffed Bread Fitters)
Stuffed bread pakora is an easy to make recipe. The addition of vegetables along with bread makes it a complete meal. Of course it is a fried snack so it cannot be a regular meal but once in a while it can be served for a brunch or an evening snack.
Bread (whole wheat loaf) 4 pieces(cut in triangle shape)
Potato 3 pieces (boiled and mashed)
Green Peas 4 tablespoon
Peanut 2 tablespoon
Green chilli 1 piece (chopped)
Green coriander leaves 2 tablespoon (chopped)
Refined oil 5 tablespoon
Garam masala ¼ tablespoon
Besan (Gramflour) ½ cup
Turmeric powder ½ tablespoon
Cumin powder ½ tablespoon
Red chilli powder ½ tablespoon
Make a batter of besan, cumin powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and ½ tablespoon of salt and keep it aside.
Heat about 2 tablespoon of oil and then put mashed potatoes, green peas, green chilli, coriander leaves, garam masala, ½ tablespoon of salt and peanut and fry for 5 mintues.
Take a piece of bread and apply the potato mash and then again put a slice of bread. Follow the process and make 4 sandwiches.
Then heat rest of the oil in a karahi and then dip each sandwich in the besan batter and shallow fry over low heat. Serve hot with coriander chutney.
