Sugared Crispies

I learnt this recipe from my sister-in-law, this recipe is generally prepared during weddings and festive seasons.

Siri Anantharam's Secret Indian Recipe !

Refined flour-250gms
Powdered sugar- 1cup
Butter-(unsalted)- 250 gms
oil- for deep frying
Rice flour(for dusting)- 1 cup
Take the refined flour in a vessel, add adequate quantity of water and make a dough. Knead the dough well , cover it and keep it aside for 15 minutes. later make medium sized rounds from the dough , then roll down the round as thin as possible. Dust it with rice flour and smear adequate quantity of butter on the flattened dough. then take a knife and cut the flattened dough into vertical strips. Take the first strip and roll up, then place the first roll on the beginning of the second strip and repeat the same procedure using 3-4 strips. Then press the roll superficially .Make such rolls from the remaining dough and deep fry them. Place the crispies on a butter paper and dust powdered sugar on them. Sugared crispies are ready to serve.
Smear sufficient qaunttity of butter so that the crispies become more crispier. Kids love this delicacy.
