Sukhe Chole (dry Chickpeas)
One of the most famous punjabi dish taken as evening snack.
5 - 6 hrs
Chickpeas - 200 gm
Ginger - garlic paste - 1 table spoon
Onion Paste - 4 tablespoon
Garam masala - 1 tablespoon
Salt - to taste
Green chili - 2 to 3 pieces
Green coriander - 10 gm (chooped)
Mango powder - 1/2 tablespoon
Oil - 2 tablespoon
Tomato - 2 to 3 mid size
Soak the chickpeas into water for 5-6 hrs , after that boil it in the same water.
Heat oil in a pan and add onion paste followed by ginger - garlic paste. Fry till the masala leaves the oil.
Add chopped tomatoes to the paste and let it cook for few minutes.
Now add the boiled chickpeas and mix.
Add salt , garam masala , mango powder and mix it well. Cook it for 5 to 6 minutes and add green chili. Cover with a lid and cook for 2 mintues.
Garnish with green coriander and serve.
after adding the peas cook on low flame.
