Tri-color Bread Pakora (tri-color Sandwich)

Tri-colour sandwichss are very easy to make and takes a few minutes only to prepare. It’s a favourite breakfast and tea time snack at our home. The sweet, tangy and zesty flavours of the chutney make this an interesting sandwich. Here is a list of Ingredients that are needed to prepare this Tri colour Sandwich.

Tri-color sandwich
White bread 4 slices
For the potato filling:
Potatoes - 2 pieces (boiled)
Chilli powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Garam masala powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Salt - to taste
For the Coating (batter):
Gram flour – 7-8 tablespoon
Chilli powder - as needed
Baking soda - 1/4 teaspoon
Salt - to taste
Green coriander chutney 3 tablespoon
Tomato Ketchup - 3 tablespoon
Oil – for deep frying
Boil and mash the potato well. To this add all the powders mentioned under the potato filling and mix well.
In a separate bowl, mix all the ingredients mentioned under the Coating section to a batter consistency and keep the ready batter aside.
Now take a slice of bread, spread the green chutney on top of the bread slice.
Place another bread on top and spread the mashed potato on it.
Now again put a slice of bread and apply tomato sauce on it and finally cover with the other bread slice.
Slightly press the sandwich. Take the entire sandwich in your hand and dip it in the coating mixture evenly.
Heat the oil in a pan for deep frying and fry the sandwich on a medium flame till they are crisp and golden brown.
Remove from the flame and cut the sandwich in whatever shape you want.
Serve hot with chutney or tomato sauce.
The batter should not be very thick nor too thin. Check the seasonings and adjust accordingly.
