Ingredients: 
Urad dal ( black lentil)-250gm
Salt to Taste
Turmeric-1/2 tablespoon
Cumin Seeds- 1/2 tablespoon
Ginger Paste-1 tablespoon
Garlic Paste-1 tablespoon
Tomato puree-2 tablespoon
Sliced Onion-100gm
coriander leaves(chopped)-1 tablespoon
Garam Masala - 1/2 tablespoon
Oil-5 TableSpoon
Red Chilli powder- 1/2 tablespoon
Directions: 
Wash the black gram.Pour 1 tablespoon oil into a cooker add the gram pulse along with turmeric powder and salt and cook it upto 2-3 whistles.
Take a pan and add remaining oil into it.Add cumin seeds and sliced onions. When the onion gets light brown add the ginger garlic paste and cook it untill the oil comes to it's surface.
Add tomato puree, red chilli powder and garam masala and fry for another 3-4 seconds.
Put the masala in already cooked urad dal and mix well. Boil for a mintue.
Garnish with Coriander leaves and serve
