Veg Nargisi Kofte

Oval shaped veg rolls dipped in tomato based masalas with a touch of khus.

Paneer (Cottage cheese) crumbled - half cup
Potatoes boiled and mashed - 3
Cornflour - 2tbsp
Fresh Coriander
Green Chillies chopped - according to taste
Red chili powder – ½ tablespoon
Coriander powder – ½ tablespoon
Black pepper powder - ½ tablespoon
Salt to taste
Onions chopped -3 medium sized
Garam Masala - 1/2 teaspoon
Ginger - Garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
Tomatoes - 5 pureed or tomato puree one pack small
Khus-khus- 5 tbsp soaked in little water
Cream - 200gms
Kaju tukda - 6/7pieces
For Kofte :- In a bowl take paneer. potatoes, little fresh coriander, green chillies, salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder, pepper and cornflour, make a nice dough.....then make small oval shaped balls or round as per your choice n deep fry till golden brown , keep aside.
For Gravy : - In a kadhai heat oil and add ginger garlic paste and onions and let it turn pinkish in colour
Make a paste of kaju and khus-khus soaked in little water by grindeing it. Add it to the fried onion masala and cook.
let it cook on slow flame for 5 mintues. Add garam masala and salt to taste with little chopped green chillies.
Add the tomato puree and let it cook, once it leaves little oil add cream and cook for 2/3 mins on slow flame. Close the gas .
Heat the kofte balls in the microwave for a minute and add this gravy over the balls, Garnish with cream and coriander . Best eaten with Laccha Parantha.
While making the kofte if it breaks add more cornflour.
